A new diffusion process has been developed for preparing superconducting Tl-Ca-Ba-Cu-O thin films (0.6∼2 µm) on (001)MgO and YSZ single-crystal substrates. The films have T c(onset)=120 K and T c(zero)=78 K. The superconducting phase of the films is highly oriented Tl1Ca1Ba2Cu2O x .
