Available reports of anthropometric *research are sufficient to enable one to make a reasonably complete description of the physical growth of the normative or average white child between infancy and maturity. In contrast, the situation is almost the reverse when one attempte to go beyond the normative child to investigative work directly concerned with the course of physical growth for the individual. Research publications to date include but a meager scattering of findings having reference to age-to-age trends. for the individual in either body dimensions or body proportions.
