The paper presents the results of calculations of the cross sections for the production of $$DD$$ pairs at energies of √ s = 7 and 13 TeV within the parton reggeization approach, considering the contributions of both single and double parton scattering. To describe the non-perturbative effects of c -quark hadronization into a D meson, the fragmentation model with the Peterson fragmentation function is used. The parameter σ _eff = 11.5_ - 0.5^ + 0.6 mb, which determines the contribution of the double parton scattering mechanism, is fixed by comparison with the available experimental data from the LHCb Collaboration for the cross sections of D ‑meson production at √ s = 7 TeV.
