A modified injector insert for the F and M Model 810 gas chromatograph is described permitting on-column injection into open-tubular columns. The insert is simple to fabricate and requires no major modification in the pneumatic system of the instrument. A chromatogram is given to illustrate application of the insert to the analysis of wide boiling range hydrocarbon mixtures.
