Two dinuclear pentacyanoferrate(II) complexes with different bridging ligands were prepared to investigate the effect of ligand conjugation on the photophysics of Fe(II) photosensitizers. Femtosecond transient absorption studies suggest that the MLCT lifetime and excited-state dynamics depend on both ligand conjugation and ligand flexibility in solution.
