Magnetic diagnostics are essential tools for operation and control of the Korea Superconducting Tokamak Advanced Research (KSTAR) device and for understanding the plasma behavior. For this purpose, a concept and preliminary engineering design for the KSTAR magnetic diagnostics have been prepared. An overview and engineering design of the KSTAR magnetic diagnostics are presented.
