THIS study involves the mathematical development of both analytical relationships for raindrop size distributions and terminal and fall velocities of raindrops. Results compared satisfactorily to observed data from several references. From the above relationships, storm energy and momentum parameters were simulated and then related statistically to rainfall intensity. Splash erosion rates are a function of rainfall intensity. It was found that rainfall parameters had a significant effect upon splash erosion.
