A study by Altland et al. (1) reported the histologic, hematologic, and mortality effects of X-rays in exposed box turtles. The LD5o was between 1000 and 1500 R. Lombard et al. (2) used supralethal injection of Sr90 in rat snakes and noted hemorrhagic death in all snakes between 19 and 35 days.
