The results obtained from a D-region echo-amplitude-distribution program are presented. For scattering heights above 80 km, the experimental data indicate that coherent scattering frequently contributes to the total echo power, whereas for heights below 80 km, the echo-amplitude distributions are predominantly Rayleigh-like in character.
