Ground granulated blast-furnace slag (GGBS) is a secondary product of cast-iron industry that can be used like a standard hydraulic binder. Nevertheless, it requires a chemical activation to start the slag-hydration process. In this work, four activators are studied. Solid-state NMR and mechanical compression tests are used to determine the hydration products microstructure and performances.
