The outlines are summarized of the model for LiD and LiH crystals in which long‐range three‐body forces are included, and applied to the calculation of second‐order Raman scattering which is very strong for these crystals. This first approach made with simplifying hypothesis shows that both the interionic interactions between second‐neighbour hydrogen ions and deformation of H− ions must be taken into account to obtain the principal peaks of experimental Raman spectra.
