A study of over 435 adult Laemobothrion from 74 different species of Falconiformes has revealed only 4 morphologically separable species—L. tinnunculi, L. maximum, L. vulturis, and L. glutinans. These species are redescribed and illustrated; there are 32 new synonymies.
