Provided herein are novel sulfur-containing heterocycloalkyl substituted bicyclic compounds as viral DNA polymerase inhibitors, pharmaceutical compositions, use of such compounds in treating viral infections, in particular, herpesvirus infections, and processes for preparing such compounds.
