The effects of electron-electron scattering in metals have been investigated theoretically in both a simple tight-binding model and in a transition metal tungsten. For the model case the authors give an estimate of the electrical resistivity and in the transition metal they calculate the total scattering rate over the Fermi surface due to the electron-electron interaction. The calculated scattering rates for tungsten agree well with experimental measurements at most points of the Fermi surface but disagree on the hole ellipsoids.
