A membrane material is developed from the poly(ethylene‐co‐methyl acrylate)/poly(vinylidene fluoride) (EMA/PVDF) blend by partial chemical etching/swelling of the EMA copolymer. EMA/PVDF blends were prepared at various concentrations from 90/10 to 60/40 ratio, and the developed membrane was microporous nature. Prepared membranes were taken for water permeability measurement, and 80/20 blend membrane was selected for further filtration studies by considering the blend composition and optimum properties. Separation of various pollutants such as BSA proteins, oil–water emulsion, and E. coli bacteria have been studied in a cross‐flow filtration setup using 80/20 membrane. The prepared membrane was also taken for the industrial effluent separation, shows improved water parameters at the permeate side.
