S‐Prenyl thioesters have been identified in the essential oils of a further two Diosmeae species. The oils from Agathosma rosmarinifolia (Bartl.) Williams and Empleurum fragrans Glover have been examined by capillary GC and GC‐MS. Since the previous published work on the composition of the sulphur‐containing oils from Agathosma apiculata G. F. W. Mey, A. clavisepala R. A. Dyer, A. puberula Fourcade and Phyllosma capensis Bolus was incomplete, further studies of these oils have been undertaken.
