Our research focuses on examining the dynamics of pricing and promotions in the dry pasta market of Argentina, taking into account the influence of various attributes and time effects. We utilize a comprehensive dataset spanning five years of weekly price variation data within the context of an inflationary economy. Our findings indicate that certain factors, such as specific brands, the type of flour used, price segmentation, and pasta varieties, are associated with distinct pricing strategies and promotional activities. Costs and time effects emerge as even more significant determinants in shaping the pricing dynamics and promotional patterns within the market.
