Metal–Organic‐Framework‐Based Catalyst for Highly Efficient H2 Generation from Aqueous NH3BH3 Solution

Hydrogen release: A novel catalyst based on a MOF (metal–organic framework, see figure) exhibits unexpectedly high catalytic activity for hydrogen generation from aqueous NH3BH3 solution. The H2 release was complete within 5 min (NH3BH3, 0.32 m) at 298 K in air. This work presents a new strategy for a highly efficient catalyst preparation based on MOF-stabilised metal clusters.
