We reexamine certain reported resonances in atomic systems containing a positron (Ps^-,e⁺H) using both the stabilization method and the complex-rotation method. The trial functions chosen are of the traditional Hylleraas type with two nonlinear parameters and up to 372 linear terms. Our results do not verify the existence of these resonances but hint at the existence of similar resonances in e⁺{He}⁺$.
