A family presented with one member manifesting patterned pigment epithelial lesion of the macula (similar to butterfly-shaped lesion) and another member manifesting salt-and-pepper fundus. As in other Retinal Pigment Epithelial dystrophies, a markedly abnormal EOG was seen in the presence of a normal ERG. It seems that a single hereditary disorder is responsible for the variable patterns seen in this family.
