A new hexanuclear Ag(I) complex 4 was obtained by treating ligand 1, a bis(iminosulfane)carbone-type ligand, with 1.5 equivalents of AgTfO, while further reaction with 2.0 equivalents afforded the octanuclear complex 5. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction revealed highly symmetric architectures featuring nearly linear C–Ag–C linkages together with N–Ag–N arrangements, establishing a unique structural motif for constructing polynuclear silver complexes.
