Hall (1962) has described a method for deducing the 37 per cent dose slope and the extrapolation number of the dose-response relationship for a cell population, from simple fractionation experiments. In the present communication these experiments are re-examined using a computer method. The new results ratify Hall's conclusions, but certain limitations of the method are described. Improvements in future experimentation and analysis are suggested.
