Chlorohydrido(triarylsilyl)rhodium(III) complexes RhCl(H)(SiAr 3 )[P(i-Pr) 3 ] 2 ( 1a, Ar = C 6 H 5; 1b, Ar = C 6 H 4 F-p; 1c, Ar = C 6 H 4 Cl-p) react with Pt(PEt 3 ) 4 to give mixtures of cis-PtH(SiAr 3 )(PEt 3 ) 2 ( 2a, Ar = C 6 H 5; 2b, Ar = C 6 H 4 F-p; 2c, C 6 H 4 Cl-p) and RhCl(PEt 3 ) 3 . Complexes 2a − c have been characterized by X-ray crystallography and/or NMR spectroscopy.
