Abstract

Dolichovespula asiatica nom.nov. (Junior primary homonym Vespula sylvestris intermedia Birula), D. sylvestris (Scopoli) s.str., D. sylvestris sumptuosa (Buysson) are dealt with in this paper. A key to the sylvestris group (Metavespula Blüthgen) is also given.
