Importance of higher infliximab trough level maintenance compared with the HLA-DQA1*05 polymorphism in preventing anti-infliximab antibodies and loss of response to infliximab

In this single-center cohort of patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) managed with proactive infliximab monitoring, HLA-DQA1*05 was not associated with immunogenicity or loss of response, whereas higher infliximab (IFX) drug levels and concomitant immunomodulator therapy independently reduced the risk of both outcomes.
