*Manatha albipes* Moore, 1877[[ref(ref3)]] (Lepidoptera: Psychidae), an occasional pest of banana, arecanut, coconut and oil palm, is widely distributed in South India and Sri Lanka (Poorani et al. 2022[[ref(ref5)]]). The larvae are found on the under surface of banana leaves in cone-shaped bags and feed by scraping and perforating the epidermis, leading to drying and defoliation. Poorani et al. (2022)[[ref(ref5)]] and later, Usha et al. (2022)[[ref(ref7)]] reviewed its host plants and described and illustrated its life stages, damage symptoms, and diagnostic characters of both sexes. Poorani et al. (2022)[[ref(ref5)]] reported the natural enemies of *M. albipes* on banana and arecanut, including three parasitoids (two species of *Brachymeria* (Hymenoptera: Chalcididae) and one unidentified tachinid) and one pentatomid predator (*Eocanthecona furcellata* (Wolff)). Usha et al. (2022)[[ref(ref7)]] reported seven parasitoids of *M. albipes* on other host plants, including one ichneumonid parasitoid (*Paraphylax* sp.) (collected on tamarind). Here, we report the occurrence of *Xanthopimpla punctata* (Fabricius, 1781) as a pupal parasitoid of *M. albipes* on banana from Tamil Nadu, South India.
