Glass coated Cu–Ni–Co microwires with a metallic nucleus 3 μm in diameter were prepared by the Taylor–Ulitovsky technique. The effects of heat treatments on the magnetic and structural properties were studied. At room temperature, the coercivity increases from 65 Oe in the as-prepared samples to 800 Oe after annealing the material at 973 K during 1 h.
