Viscosity of aqueous solutions of 15 alkali halides in the whole concentration range exceeding 1 M in dependence of the temperature between 10 and 40° centigrades is compiled from the literature and the authors and collaborators own measurements. Empirical relations for the concentration dependence are given. An explanation is attempted using a model of point charge distribution in a continuous medium of dielectric constant depending on electric field strength.
