The fundamental, first, and second overtone of the NH stretching vibration of dimethylamine were measured at temperatures ranging from 22 to -190°C, in solvents forming rigid glasses at low temperatures. The self-association of dimethylamine was examined. At room temperature only monomers and dimers were found while at low temperatures a more highly associated species is also observed. The overtones of the dimer were observed at low temperatures and lead to normal anharmonicities.
