In recent years, nanotechnology and highly sensitive resonators have been developed as devices that can be used for the study of various diseases. Investigations using the whispering-gallery mode (WGM) technique in a microwave range do not require labeling and are promising due to their high sensitivity. The resonance techniques are usually used on a number of discrete frequencies. The possibility of tuning the resonance frequency would allow an additional advantage of the WGM technique. This work explores the application of 5CB and 1929 liquid crystals for the frequency tuning of WGM resonators used to provide an accurate analysis of bioliquids.
