The specific heat of deoxyhemoglobin solutions prepared both from fresh blood cells and from ly- ophilized powder is found to be similar to that of metmyoglobin crystals in magnitude and temperature dependence. We observe no discontinuities in the entire range from 1.3 to 10 K.
