Oxo-Cation Complexes - Part XIII. Dioxouranium(VI), Oxovanadium(IV) and Oxovanadiuti(V) Complexes of the Schiff Base (N,N′-2,2′-bis(aminoethyl)methylamine-bis(3-carboxysalicylideneimine))

A new Sehiff base (N,N′-2,2′-bis(aninoethyl)methylamine-bis (3-carboxysalicylideneimine)), abbreviated to H4 fsadien, has been synthesized from 3-formylsalicylic acid (H2fsa) and diethylenetriamine (dien). The chelates of this liganc with Uo2 2+, V02+ and VO3+ have also been synthesized and characterized vith the help of elemental analysis, molar conductance, magnetic susceptibility and visible-UV and IR spectroscopies.
