In Response: We did not state the position of the patients correctly in our article [1]. The patients were turned from left lateral to the supine position after insertion of the epidural catheter. Local anesthetic was injected while the patients were kept in the supine position. Since bilateral spread of local anesthetic in both epidural and subarachnoid spaces was predicted, assessment of the spread of analgesia was performed only on the left side of the body.
