The article is devoted to the analysis of the image of the Kaliningrad region in the representations of two generations: millennials and the reform generation. The focus of the research is focused on the geopolitical and sociocultural components of the image of the Kaliningrad region. The research method is a formalized interview (N=1482) in accordance with the age and sex sample representing the population in the geodemographic regions of the Kaliningrad region. As a result, it was found that, regardless of the generation, respondents are more likely to give priority to the development of multiculturalism or culture in the region, of a non-national and non-religious nature. The unity of opinion was also fixed in the fact that the inhabitants of the region should independently elect the head of the region, and the Kaliningrad region itself needs a special economic status and should act as a diplomatic platform for cooperation with the EU. The scenario of the development of the Kaliningrad region as a military outpost of Russia, on the contrary, has the least support among the respondents of the generations under consideration. The most significant intergenerational differences were recorded in relation to the Russian and German culture of the region, as well as in relation to strengthening the position of the Kaliningrad region as a military outpost of Russia.
