Chronic kidney disease affects every aspect of patients’ lives, particularly burdening those in 44low- and middle-income countries. This systematic review aims to explore the quality of life of haemodialysis patients in Africa. Following the PRISMA guidelines, inclusion and exclusion criteria were pre-established for this systematic review, leading to the selection of eight articles on life quality of haemodialysis patients in Africa. This review reveals, on the one hand, that studies carried out in Africa on the quality of life of haemodialysis patients are rare and, on the other hand, that the different domain scores of the Kidney Disease Quality of Life (KDQOL) questionnaire show a deterioration in the quality of life of haemodialysis patients in Africa. According to the results of this review, African healthcare systems need to pay more attention to haemodialysis patients, especially in countries where resources are limited.
