More than just curiosities: The synthesis and characterization of a stable benzo[c]tellurophene are presented. TeTe interactions are shown to be one of the main driving forces for the crystal-packing properties of this electron-rich benzo[c]tellurophene; furthermore, investigation of its pyroelectric properties reveals a secondary pyroelectric effect.
