Cholinesterase activity was determined in mouse and human sera after exposure to different concentrations of phosphine gas and for various exposure times. The results showed significant reductions in the enzyme activity of both types of sera. This effect was found to be correlated with both concentration and exposure time. At a short exposure time of 30 min, only the activity of mouse serum cholinesterase was reduced.
