Optical properties of amorphous (GeS)1 − x Bi x (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.15) films and a tentative cluster model for their structure

This paper examines the effect of Bi doping on the optical properties of amorphous (GeS)1 − x Bi x (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.15) films. Experimental data in conjunction with first-principles electronic structure calculations for Ge n S m and Bi n S m clusters are used to derive a cluster model for the structure of the amorphous (GeS)1 − x Bi x films.
