Systematic velocities (heliocentric) are presented for 39 galaxies, of which only six have had velocities published previously. The majority of the spectrograms were obtained with the 1-m Yale telescope at CTIO; intercomparison of duplicate plates suggests that the accuracy of emission-line velocities for image-tube spectrograms of faint galaxies from this instrument is of the order of 33 km 1 Key words: galaxies (general)-radial velocities
