Graded levels of l-tryptophan, dl-methionine, l-threonine and l-valine were added to a triticale diets for chicks, to observe their effect on chick growth and feed efficiency. Results of two experiments indicated no response to tryptophan, valine or methionine addition; however, each increase of threonine resulted in an increase in growth and feed conversion. These data would indicate that threonine is the second limiting amino acid in triticale for chicks.
