Tribotests of ceramic specimens of various compositions (Al 2 O 3 -1% TiO 2 , ZrO 2 -5.3% Y 2 O 3 , Al 2 O 3 -15% (ZrO 2 + 5.3% Y 2 O 3 )) were carried out under dry friction conditions. It has been shown that all of the specimens have a high wear resistance, while the Al 2 O 3 -15% (ZrO 2 + 5.3% Y 2 O 3 ) specimens have the lowest wear rate and the highest microhardness. This is due to the fine-grained structure of these specimens and their higher density compared to that of the other ceramic compositions.
