Eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) is one of the most common vegetable plants in Indonesia which comes from the Solanaceae family. There are several types of diseases that can attack eggplant plants, one of which is leaf spot disease. Leaf spot disease in eggplant is caused by the fungal pathogen Alternaria sp., which is characterized by brown spots, irregular round shape with a diameter of approximately 0.5 cm. Therefore, the authors make a system to find out whether this plant is attacked by a disease or not by utilizing technology, namely digital image processing. This system uses the Gray Level Co-Occurrence Matrix (GLCM) feature extraction and the Support Vector Machine (SVM) classification algorithm. In this study, using training data of 100 images and test data of 50 images. The highest accuracy is 100%, with Laplace of Gaussian (LoG) edge detection and using SVM Linear Kernel and SVM Polynomial Kernel classifications.
