Hemangioendothelioma of the liver in infancy is a rare condition. Kunstadter1in 1933 reviewed 14 cases from the literature and added 1 case of his own. Since then, additional cases have been reported by Howard,2Schwartz,3Andries and Kaump,4Dodrick,5Schumann,6Blauel7and Berezin, Sharnoff and Stein.8Because of the rarity of the disease, we wish to record an additional case. REPORT OF A CASE The patient was a 2 month old white male infant who was born at full term after a medically induced labor. The mother was Rh negative and the baby Rh positive, but there had been no rise in Rh titer during pregnancy. Shortly after birth, three pinhead-sized reddish macular spots were noted on the infant's body. They gradually increased in size to that of a small pea.
