Preparing LiNi 0.5 Mn 1.5 O 4 nanoplates with superior properties in lithium-ion batteries using bimetal–organic coordination-polymers as precursors

Using bimetal–organic coordination-polymers as precursors and subsequent solid-state reaction with lithium salts, Li 2 CO 3 -coated LiNi 0.5 Mn 1.5 O 4 nanoplates with superior rate capability and cycling stability have been synthesized, and provide a promising cathode candidate for lithium-ion batteries.
