Speaking fundamental frequency (Fo) and spectral parameters were measured in five subjects before and after surgical cricothyroid approximation. We saw a variable increase of the Fo, especially of the mean speaking Fo and the highest speaking Fo. Spectral changes were not found, besides the tendency to a greater amplitude of the fundamental tone in comparison to the second and third partials.
