This article describes methods used in a series of residential workshops addressing the needs of performing musicians. The workshops are designed to help participants confront issues that affect their performing, including unresolved psychological issues, lack of present emotional support, fear of loss and its attendant insecurity, and over-competitiveness. Techniques used include Senoi Dreamwork, Radix, and awareness training. Transactional analysis and Gestalt psychotherapy provide a psychotherapeutic base for the work. The participants, the leaders, and the structure of the workshops are described. Several case studies are included.
