Specific absorption rate (SAR), contained in various products and electronic gadgets, has critical impact on human health. On the other hand, in most of the manufacturing firms, the defective items during production process impose sizeable impact on optimal revenue of the firm. Keeping in mind the above-mentioned factors, this study demonstrates optimal decisions of an imperfect production model of radiative (i.e. SAR reliant) products in which consumers’ demand is price, SAR of the credentials, time and dynamic carbon emission reduction level dependent. Again, the rate of manufacturing is time-varying dynamic function and the dynamic emission reduction investment is considered as a convex function of reduction effort of carbon emission of the manufacturer. Additionally, two additional cases involving the corporate absorption of damaged objects have emerged and are addressed separately. The proposed model is solved using a number of metaheuristics and compared the obtained results to identify which algorithms are more efficient for solving this particular problem. Finally, the sensitivity analysis is performed to implicate some indications to the managers regarding optimal business policy of the firm.
