Specific scope This EPPO Standard specifies: the requirements for a laboratory to be able to organize interlaboratory comparisons for plant pest diagnostic laboratories the requirements for the development and operation of interlaboratory comparisons for plant pest diagnostic laboratories. This EPPO Standard was developed taking into account elements included in ISO 17043 Conformity assessment–General requirements for proficiency testing (ISO, 2010) and generally follows the structure of this Standard, however, accreditation for the organization of interlaboratory comparison activities is not covered.
