In this article, a health monitoring system utilizing a commercially available smartwatch and mobile phone is presented. The system allows for remote monitoring of elderly individuals or patients by collecting sensor data from the smartwatch. This data is then transmitted to the mobile phone, processed, and subsequently sent to a server application. Caregivers have the ability to view real-time data such as heart rate or current activity, send notifications to the patient, and review statistical information or historical data. The paper details the implementation and features of this system, as well as discusses its advantages and limitations.
