Data extraction dataset and analysis scripts for: Machine Learning Based Metaheuristics: A Systematic Literature Review

This record contains the data extraction dataset and analysis script supporting the systematic literature review "Machine Learning Based Metaheuristics: A Systematic Literature Review" (Labrassi & Ouaarab), submitted to Swarm and Evolutionary Computation.The dataset comprises structured JSON records for 183 primary studies (2016–2026) on Deep Learning and Reinforcement Learning enhancements of metaheuristic optimization algorithms, selected following the PRISMA 2020 protocol. Each record encodes functional roles, ML architectures, validation strategies, application domains, and metaheuristic families. The accompanying Python script reproduces all inferential statistics reported in the review.
